Midnight DJ
Midnight DJ is a Filipino drama-horror television series starring Oyo Boy Sotto, who works as DJ at night and at the same time he works to find solutions to the paranormal problems of his listeners.
This about a disc jockey (DJ) from the LXFM or “New City Radio” who has psychic abilities and has a radio show that people can call in and relate their experiences with the paranormal. Midnight DJ is showing on Saturdays, alas seven-to eight pm on TV5. It is being directed by Lore Reyes and written by Aloy Adlawan.
The first episode was shown on July 11, 2008 Paolo Contis (as Patrick) was performed as a DJ on a fictional radio station that LXFM. It was discovered he opened his third eye and through his radio program. He and his team go through different types of adventures from funny to frightening to scary. They try to offer basically a whole rounded approach.They really don’t have a clear cut approach of how they do things they just go with the flow.
Patrick goes missing in the end of the First Season and as painful as it is they have to find a new DJ and he is eventually replaced by Samboy who initially didn’t really have any psychic abilities. He was just desperate to get a job so he pretended to have psychic abilities. He was only relying on Samantha or Samgirl (Bangs Garcia) for help to pass the test that was given . But as the show progressed towards the end he started to feel the guilt and during the season ender of Season Two he had to come clean and tell the truth.
For Season 3 Samboy is given a new chance to redeem himself but he realizes that he can now just rely on himself and his instincts because Samantha or Samgirl (Bangs Garcia) already left and moved to the States. Chicklet (Erich Gonzales), Samboy’s psychic make-up artist friend joins the team and she is a welcome addition to the team because of her psychic abilities.
Though it’s suspense and a bit of horror the lead star Samboy (Played by Oyo Boy Sotto) still show’s his human side. He is not afraid to show his fear and his emotions. The show has a great cast which is played By Desiree Del Valle as Angela the programming director, Jenny Miller as Trixie the owner at station manager ng LXFM and Joaquin Tupas as Bodjie as his sidekick, Samantha or Samgirl (Bangs Garcia)
The most important moral of this tv series is redemption everyone needs it including the dead. Samboy helps the dead gain redemption by trying to help them finish their unfinished business and Samboy himself realized he himself needed the redemption which forced him to tell the truth and come clean.

I’ve watched midnight dj more than a couple of times already and i think the show borders on corny to just okay. Some of the episodes are not scary at all. what i look forward to is the mythical creatures they feature in each episode. It’s quite a learning experience.

I caught this once, pero di ako na captivate agad kasi parang akala ko hindi siya interesting. na cornyhan ako konti kaya i changed the channel. pero now that i read this, i think i’ll give it another shot.

I always watch this show, it has a pinoy twist which adds the flavor in the show.
I Like the prosthetics in Tiyanak, Aswang, and Demon.
They even had unusual story plots in their episodes like Pedicab, Inidoro,Sisig, Gay ghost, Jeepney, Slippers, Kariton, and Videoke.
I watch this show a lot.. I really hope they release season 1 and season 2 on dvd or vcd. I want to share them with my relatives who are unable to watch.
