My iBlog 5 Aftermath

iblog-5I of all people will admit it’s not easy to wake up on a Saturday and drag myself to go to Quezon City. But since I know that iblog is an important event. I was glad to make an exception.

Morning session:

9:20 – 9:40 Blogging 101 (Micaela Rodriguez & AJ Matela)

Side comments:  I was late and so I missed the talk. I heard it was great..

9:45 – 10:05 Photo Blogging 101 (Faith Salazar and Fritz Tentativa)

Very informative I really learned a lot from them. I liked the tips

that they gave. Somehow it affirmed my believe that It’s the talent that

counts and not the equipment.

10:30 to 10:50 Video Blogging 101 (Azrael Coladilla and Kring Elenzano)

The presentation was great. Kring explained the topic very well and

she was so funny. Very candid! One of the talks that I really enjoyed.

10:55 – 11:15 Mobile Blogging 101 (Edwin “Ka Edong” Soriano)

His talk was great. Really enjoyed it and will definitely visit his site to learn more about Mobile Blogging.

11:20 – 11:40 Do’s and Don’ts of Blogging 101 (Benj Espina and Juned Sonido)

Great talk and they explained their point really well

11:45 – 12:05 Blog Promotion & Traffic Generation Strategies 101 (Winston Almendras and Coy Caballes)

Great talk and I’m glad they gave lots of tips and what sites I should go to have traffic for my blog. They gave helpful tips on how to make your blog standout. They gave great tips on how to have more online visibility, increasing blog readers, maintaining high traffic and as well as reputation building. They said that it really helps if you have a great online reputation.

1:00 – 1:20 Legal issues in Blogging (Atty. JJ Disini)

I really loved this talk and wished that his time was longer than the others.

He was really so good and he answered the tricky  question really, really well.

1:30 – 2:15 Preparing Bloggers for the 2010 Elections

COMELEC on Blogging & Bloggers (Dir. James Jimenez, COMELEC-EID Director)

I really enjoyed his talk, he was very  funny and very candid. He answered the questions

really,really well

– Citizen Journalism for the 2010 Elections (Oliver Robillo, NAMFREL Chairman – Davao City)

– The Bloggers Election Handbook project release (Janette Toral)

Since Blogie was absent Ms Janette Handled the two topics

She was great and explained everything really well. I too want to get involved and do my part but I don’t know

where to start or where to go to help with the elections.

2:30 – 3:30 Blog Advertising Situation in the Philippines (Mannix Pabalan – AyosDito,

His talk was great he explained it a lot. And I really hope that AyosDito will prosper here like what happened with

their site in Malaysia.

Kristine Mandigma – Philippine Online Chronicles,

She did not say anything about Blog Advertising just talked about what their site was all about.

Laszlo Lim, Business Development Head – Yehey,

He talked about how events really work and what the client is looking for. Very enlightening talk

Jayvee Fernandez and Eric Ramirez

Great talk and I’m really hoping that I get ads from Blogbank and Nuffnang really sooner than later

4:15 – 4:45 Blogging to the Next Level (Fitz Villafuerte and Anton Diaz)

Fitz gave great advice about pro-blogging. These are the things that pro-bloggers will tend to keep to themselves

and not share with us lesser known mortal bloggers. Very, very helpful!!!

Anton Diaz tackled about the 4 stages of blogger evolution: Artist -> Advocate -> Entrepreneur -> Maven.

The goal is to get to the Maven stage and it’s not easy to do it but with hard work and lots and lots of effort nothing

is impossible.

My one and only photo thanks to ADA.
