My Mushings

I was so lucky to be part of the The LetsGoSago.net Bloggers Surfing Clinic. Which was held last Aug 15-16, 2009 at San Juan, La Union. I had so much fun it was something that I needed . I needed to get away from it all and recharge and that’s what I did. Our meeting place was at Mc Donald’s Quezon Ave.

We travelled for 6 hours to get to La Union. When we got there our rooms were almost ready. We had breakfast and immediately we explored the resort.   Our scheduled time for surfing lessons was 2:30PM. There was a surfing class that started at 10:30AM. Some decided to watch but I decided to unpack my stuff. By12PM we were hungry again Hannah suggested that we ate somewhere near and a bit affordable.After eating our lunch I went back to the room and watched TV.. Some went swimming I stayed in for a bit because I’m concerned about  having a Tan. Good thing VSRC was there to save the day they sponsored the Sun Block. They have a Sun Block that is SPF 70..I really noticed that I didn’t have a tan and didn’t have a Sunburn.

By 2:15 we headed out to the beach for the surfing lesson.It was conducted by no less than Surfing celebrity himself Luke Landrigan. Who by the way is cute..

The coach made us do exercises on land first before hitting the water..

It looked so easy but it was hard. I mean I was out there for an hour and when my time was almost up. I was the last one to get back to shore because I really,really wanted to be able to stand up at least once. The instructor even made a joke call on Santino. I said no.. I don’t need a miracle because I know I can do this. Secretly I was praying that I could pull this off and I did it. I had no photo of that momentous event but I had a witness. Jonel saw me as I rode the waves.
