Kandidato Interviews

Manny Villar Kandidato job interview is a revelation to me. His responses were very candid and very honest. His answers reflect his simplicity and his basic core values.  It was very different from the criticisms that were continuously thrown his way. He is being taunted by his rivals as  cut from the same cloth from GMA . They say that he shows no difference from Gloria. People are quick to say that he’s every inch a traditional politician, maybe, even a worse one than Gloria. He will merely follow his predecessors’ corrupt antics like bribing politicians to gain allies.  They continue to use the C5 scandal against him. But on the other hand I don’t see him on the same level as GMA. People will always have something to say and when his supporters tell you that they can give ten reasons to vote for Manny Villar.  His critics will be quick to say that they’ll give you twenty reasons why you shouldn’t vote for him.

I’m actually surprised that Arnold Clavio was accused by some of Villar’s family members. He was fair and showed no bias and was very professional.

Villar’s cry ”Sipag at Tiyaga” all he wants pero it would take a truly honest and sincere leader to inspire his people to be hardworking and persevering. Some people doubt him when he says that all he wants is to start ending poverty.

One thing that he shouldn’t have done was to go to the SEC and talk to him about the stocks of his company as a senate president. He should really answer that question.

While watching Noynoy Aquino Kandidato job interview I also thought that he was candid. His platform isn’t clear and some were also vague and it doesn’t sound like it was him talking rather it sounded like Mar Roxas drafted the platform and not him. Another sour point for me was the subject of the land reform and land distribution it sounded so great. But he can’t apply it to his own issues with Hacienda Luisita.

Based on the interview here are some questions that he needs to answer. What are his plans for sustainable cities/land in the Philippines? How can we avoid the ill preparedness that our government has when natural flood strikes. How does he plan to streamline the government and make the municipal or city government offices more accountable for their own areas.

I think having done nothing for 12 years in legislative is proof that he’s not ready. Some are quick to say that what about Cory Aquino she didn’t know anything. Times are different now at that time our country was coming from a dictatorship and we needed someone to lead us. It was either Cory Aquino or stay with Marcos.

But now Noynoy has yet to prove his own merits. I wish I can risk it and say that I’ll vote for the popular choice but this isn’t just my future. The future of my kids and the country that they will grow up in depends on the future president. This is not an experiment! This is not something I’m willing to gamble on.We need someone who has proven his skills! The man who will win this election will be our leader for six years and we cannot throw that away by wasting our vote.
