Everyone is excited about the coming of iPhone 4. But what exactly is  the iPhone 4? The iPhone 4 is a slate smartphone designed and developed by Apple. It is the fourth generation of iPhone, and successor to the iPhone 3GS. It is particularly marketed for video calling, consumption of media such as books and periodicals, movies, music, and games, and for general web and e-mail access.

It was announced on June 7, 2010 at the WWDC 2010 at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, and was released on June 24, 2010 in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan.

The iPhone 4 runs Apple’s iOS operating system, the same operating system as used on previous iPhones, the iPad, and the iPod Touch. It is primarily controlled by a user’s fingertips on the multi-touch display, which is sensitive to fingertip contact. Continue reading »

How To Eat Healthily

I need to really eat healthily. It must be admitted that this lesson should have been taught when I was a baby and if it was, that is great. I knew how to eat right then I would not gain weight and I would have no need to take the Alli Diet

I find it strange that I’m struggling with my body issues now. I don’t really get why we are judged by what our body type is. If you are thin and sexy then they’ll treat you right. If you are fat then they treat you like crap. Which is so sad. We are beautiful no matter what anyone says and we shouldn’t let anyone treat us  badly. We shouldn’t allow people to look down on us.

Yes, many societies are dealing with way too many teenage girls who are struggling with their body image. I wasn’t one of those girls because I was skinny and I want my old body back and if the Alli Diet will help then so be it. Therefore, reinforcing or starting to teach myself how to eat healthily will be needed at this point. I need all the help that I can get to get to that point where I know i will be okay.

I can probably ask my mom to help me to do this by having her help with the buying and preparing of meals. Additionally, make sure that she I  around the same times every day and, before I  eat another large potion of food, or get up from the meal, make sure that gives my body the opportunity to digest my food. These simple things and many more like them will go a long way. Then hopefully the Alli Diet will no longer be needed. So help me please

Philippine Society of Venereologists Inc.

Sexually transmitted infections are usually acquired through intimate relations with an infected partner either through oral, vaginal-penile or anal-penile sex. Some STI’s like genital warts can be acquired through mere genital contact. Let me just note that infection can increase the risk of long term health problems like infertility, cervical cancer, pelvic and tubal inflammatory disease and ectopic pregnancy.

Rise, Raise and Erase

The most daunting problem that faces the Philippine Society Venereologist, Inc., is the education of the immediate community. Some people just don’t think about the consequences of their actions. They go out to a bar have a  order of   German Beer Steins which for some means Gigantic glass boots made for drinking their favorite German brews. Meet someone and have casual unprotected sex  and go their separate ways. Which is scary to say the least. Because you are at risk for HIV and other sexually transmissible diseases.

While media is already playing an important role in bringing HIV and other sexually transmissible diseases to public attention, participation by the more knowledgeable sectors of society is needed. Thus, the society has lined up its participation of liason and cooperation with civic groups, like the Rotary, the Lions, the Jaycees and others, who have similar or parallel programs to open the eyes of the of the public to the growing menace of HIV. In addition, the PSVI will provide experts to lecture and advise focus groups and other interested parties with the government, private corporations and other organizations. Continue reading »

Whether you’re updating your appliances or planning a full remodel, seeing past the hype can be tough when everything looks so good. A Field Trip for Discerning Moms

I”ve always been fascinated by field trips and discovering how things works. When Unilab invited us to visit their plant. I readily cleared my schedule and happily joined the trip. They invited some moms and a dad to show us that they are in the business of not only health but wellness as well. There were two pickup points for the mommy and daddy bloggers: one in Merville, two in Ortigas and three in Makati.

Unilab a leading pharmaceutical company in the Philippines,  A company that is proud of everything they stand for: delivering the best value in health care for every Filipino family’s full enjoyment of life.

Unilab has a an advocacy aptly called as The Discerning Mommy advocacy which is the digital component of Unilab’s corporate branding program “Unilab ba‘Yan?”that aims to encourage consumers to ask the most important questions in healthcare to guide them in making quality choices.

A few of the questions that were emphasized in this campaign are: “Safe ba‘yan?, “Subok ba‘yan?”, “Sinuri ba ngtama ‘yan?”, “World-class ba‘yan?”

Instead of capitalizing on its credentials in its campaign, Unilab takes the advocacy route to focus on the basic yet essential healthcare questions. Unilab wants to make sure consumers get not only value for their money, but also quality they deserve.

We were greeted by this cute banner.

My First Haiku Creations

This is my first two Haiku creations. The first one is kind of sad and the second one is inspiring:

The darkness blinds me
I can only try to guess
Bits of broken piece

A new bud explodes
Unfolding goddess flows
A shine into the light
