I would like to offer our services as the 10,000 new classrooms are added to the national system. BOOKS for the BARRIOS has faithfully supplied over 10,000 school libraries to the Dep Ed schools in the poorest provinces over the past three decades. I would also respectfully request that BOOKS for the BARRIOS be included in any further promotions for this project as a direct representative of Dep Ed (Dep Ed Order 2001-36.) Also, I would like to invite agents of change who would like to learn more about ongoing Dep Ed development projects conducted by our volunteers, such as, National Teacher Training Program (1,100 mentor instructors), National Book Distribution Program (600,000 volumes annually), National "Model-of-Excellence Schools" Program (60,000 pupils enrolled), and Aeta Tribal Recovery Program (150 members.)
