Fly for Rare is an effort to help raise awareness about the different rare diseases in the Philippines is also a fundraising campaign to help subsidize the critical and emergency medical needs of children with rare disorders. To the children with rare disease and their families, Fly for Rare is also a rare treat—a worry?free day for them Rare diseases in the Philippines Children born with rare diseases or disorders may appear normal at birth but eventually develop severe medical problems in life.

These medical conditions become long?standing, progressively disabling, life threatening, requiring multidisciplinary care. In the Philippines, these medical conditions are considered rare if it affects 1 in 20,000 or less. Individuals with rare genetic disorders are “orphaned” by society. They suffer from social abandonment due to lack of understanding of their disorders and lack of a support system. Medical help is elusive under the current conditions of the country’s health program due to prohibitive cost of treatment and/or scarcity of available medications and health care facilities in the country. Some of them need to forget that they are sick and taking expensive medications like Rebif

Since the early 1990’s, a group of dedicated medical professionals from the Institute of Human Genetics of the University of the Philippines?National Institutes of Health then led by Dr. Carmencita D. Padilla have been providing the medical diagnosis, disease management, and access to health facilities and systems of PGH, Department of Pediatrics. As the number of patients increased, these dedicated doctors along with parents and advocates, formalized and incorporated a non?stock, non?profit organization in 2006 known as the Philippine Society for Orphan Disorders, Inc. (PSOD).

PSOD commissions itself to be the central network for the advocacy and coordination of all viable efforts to sustain a better quality of life for individuals with orphan or rare disorders in the Philippines. Why fly for rare? As more people are diagnosed and coupled with the prohibitive and increasing cost of treatment and therapies, PSOD is now tasked to accelerate efforts to increase awareness and generate resources in order to sustain consistent and timely access to critical medical treatments and therapies as well as to address the emergency medical needs of our patients.

Fly for Rare is one of PSOD’s efforts to raise awareness and at the same time help generate funds for critical care and emergency funds of kids with rare disorders. This really would not be possible without the help of Genzyme Corporation, Mead Johnson Nutrition,Malunggai Life Oil by Manila Natures Link, For details about this advocacy please log on to http://psod.org.ph

This event would also not be possible without support from Lakefront which is an exclusive community that’s already built right beside Laguna de Bay in Sucat. With sweeping vistas of the country’s largest lake, you get 100% natural fresh air and a sense of tranquillity that is hard to match. The Next CBD – Lakefront Rising from the property boundaries measured by Don Augusto Posadas centuries ago is a visionary multi-community development, Vista Lakefront representing the unprecedented vision for the 60-hectare, ultra modern, multi-community development in Sucat. It was in the early 1980’s that the Posadas family partnered with Vista Land to make their vision a reality.

With it also came the ambitious plan of developing Lakefront as the next Central Business District (CBD). With sweeping vistas of Laguna Lake and Sierra Mountains, Vista Lakefront is an amazingly quick 10 minutes from Makati business hub and 15 minutes from Ortigas’ financial district via C-5. It is 10 minutes away from Alabang and 15 minutes from the airports through SLEX via the Nichols exit. With four major entry points from the South Luzon Expressway SLEX via Sucat exit, the future C-6 exit, Bicutan access and the Taguig National Road, Vista Lakefront is a natural growth and business extension to Makati. Here, modern seclusion is unequaled – where a quick escape, nature views, lifestyle amenities, shopping havens, and urban access can all at once be–at your fingertips.

Vista Lakefront – the center of a thriving, multi-community development • Residential Development – Mid-rise and High-rise Residences in Presidio and Marfori, as well as planned Shophouses. Residential Estates, for private homes and large-size lots at La Posada, Marina Heights, and Victorianne. • Commercial Center Development -The Lakefront Wharf and The Presidio Embarcadero for Shopping, Leisure, Entertainment, Sports, and Upscale Commercial Retail Hubs.

Bald, and a woman? Novuhair is The Answer

Women suffering from excessive hair loss need not dread their problem as they used to. With the latest personal experience of make-up artist to the stars Fanny Serrano, growing bald already comes with its own solution.

Novuhair Topical Scalp Lotion is Fanny’s new champion in combatting hair loss. His own testimony backs up the claim that Novuhair is the only one that truly works: suffering from hair loss at the peak of his career, the beauty icon decided to find a way to keep his hair on, or to keep them from falling out.

But all claims of hair growth that he bought into, from those of topical ointments to ingestive supplements, proved false and ineffective. All, that is, but Novuhair.

With Novuhair, Fanny experienced a resurge in his scalp’s hair growth from only two weeks of use.

Novuhair Topical Scalp Lotion is made of ingredients based in nature, such as panax ginseng, moringa oleifera, and the essence of lemongrass, lavender, peppermint, rosemary, and virgin coconut. It works by improving blood circulation to the scalp and increasing nutrition to hair follicles, ultimately resulting in a growth spurt of hair.

Now baldness and excessive hair loss in women is caused by a number of different factors, ranging from hereditary factors to lifestyle.

But with Novuhair Topical Scalp Lotion, the causes become secondary. You now have what’s important: the solution.

Novuhair is available at all Mercury Drug, Watson’s, Rose Pharmacy, South Star, Manson, NCCC (Davao and Palawan) and Cory Quirino World of Wellness Stores nationwide, and online on www.regaloservice.com. Call 413-6570or 0922-883-0575 and visit www.novuhair.com for more details.
