Traffic is Fatal

Secretary Jun Abaya said that the traffic wasn’t fatal but to some degree it can be fatal but not literally. Traffic can cause a person to run late for a meeting and as a consequence that the boss might be angry or worse lose a potential client (please don’t say that if you left early) How early should a person leave to get to the office at 9am? 6 am??? That shows how bad the traffic situation is in Manila.
Some people say ride the MRT and you can see the long and snaking lines that starts at 6am. Continue reading »

Raising A Reader

As a mom my frustration is that I am not raising a reader this is a bit of frustration for me because I love to read.Admittedly I feel a little bit of inggit when my friends kids have read a lot of books at a young age. Lest anyone accuse me of forcing her to do this. I never force her but I am trying to encourage her to read. We are not on the same page because she’s fighting me. She’ll make a lot of excuses to not read.  So when I was invited last Saturday to attend  the launch of Geronimo Stilton Academy Comprehension Pawbook, I grabbed the chance to do so because I felt like this can definitely help me in encouraging her to read. Champion Hosts Tapatan with Susan Roces

What exactly does “tapat” mean?
This was the question posted by Champion Detergent in a “Tapatan with Ms. Susan Roces” held last August 18, 2015 at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.

Although people define it differently, what holds true across these definitions is that the intent always remains pure and honest – and this transcends both individuals and generations. Just as “tapat” has been relevant before, it remains relevant even today and especially among today’s youth. And it is this value of katapatan that is shared strongly between Champion Detergent and its long-time brand endorser, Ms. Susan Roces. Continue reading »

Just Roll It

A week ago, I was introduced to “Just Roll It”, a new online board game released by GameClub, the same company that introduced Love Beat, iDate, Weapons of War, and the popular Crossfire FPS game.

The game play is quite familiar and easy to understand. If you happen to play board games, you must have encountered Millionaire’s Game. Doesn’t ring a bell? How about the still-popular Monopoly? I’m sure you do. Since it was introduced in the US in 1903, Monopoly became the most notable dice-rolling board game about wealth creation and property trade. Continue reading »

Strange Music

When most of us think of a musical instrument, we might think of a guitar, a piano or even a set of drums. All normal enough instruments to be sure, but there are stranger musical instruments out there. These strange instruments may not produce a melodious quality we would expect, but certainly they will make you look, if not listen, twice.

When most of us think of a musical instrument, we might think of a guitar, a piano or even a set of drums. All normal enough instruments to be sure, but there are stranger musical instruments out there like a bass mute. These strange instruments may not produce a melodious quality we would expect, but certainly they will make you look, if not listen, twice
