When a meteorite from outer space hits a young California girl named Susan Murphy and turns her into a giant monster, she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years. As a last resort, under the guidance of General W.R. Monger, on a desperate order from The President, the motley crew of Monsters is called into action to combat the aliens and save the world from imminent destruction!

The 3D Imax glasses aren’t very comfortable for 1 size fits all. The 3D animation is great with the galaxies and the ball and paddle, the hamburger looks so real that you want to take bite out of it. I expected it to be weird and quirky and a total waste of my time. But as the movie began all my fears melted away the animation was incredible and the silliness filled every inch of this movie. I was not only amazed by the movie but at the reaction of all the other people in the theater from laughter so powerful that it just would not stop. I enjoy hearing the giggles and awes of amazement from the kids even as the action threatened to jump out and really just surprise you.

The story has some teachable moments such as finding someone who will love you for who you are, don’t treat people different because they look like “monsters” good feeling bonding movie with some heartwarming scenes and realistic emotions. the movie has some fun moments, the blue blob guy is funny. There are some violent parts that are a bit disturbing like beheading a robot. Pretty good action, but overall a fun movie to watch. the middle did drag a little but nonetheless I really liked it a lot

Overall, the 3D is fun to watch. is it worth it to watch at  Imax? Yes Definitely!!!!

A small Spanish town is divided between the upper and lower parts. The poor and the less-poor parts of the pueblo. (Known as the people who lives in the valley) The In the ‘upper’ part is the barren part and they say it is a cursed place because people believe in the superstition that all the women are barren. Legend has it that all women born under the shadow of a certain mountain range called The Black Girl in Southern Spain will be rendered barren and thus ineligible for marriage. Young Juan from the ‘lower’ part falls in love with Cruz, a pretty girl from the upper side: a girl who some assume must of course be barren.

The lower town has orchards and a spring. The higher reaches of the town has only rubble. The men of the town make their miserable income from cutting and burning wood to make charcoal. They have to endure the superstitions. Cruz is shunned because she married an outsider she is taunted by her own kind so she decides to go to the mountains with her husband who makes coal for a living.

The couple endures endless hardships, culminating in an attempt by the film’s villain Lucas to steal Cruz away from him. Juan’s perseverance pays off when Cruz beats the curse by giving birth to their son.

This is a great story that really proves that love conquers all. That despite the things that are stacked against you Love is your greatest weapon. This movie is really worth watching.
