Top Tips for Aging Skin

  1. Aging isn’t something that anybody really looks forward to. While you might get smarter with age, it’s the physical aspects of that higher number that gets most people worried. Whether you’re male or female, your skin is likely to suffer as you get older.

While there’s nothing wrong with looking your age, you obviously want to look like the best version of your age that you can, right? You don’t need to go under the knife and spend a small fortune on plastic surgery. What you need is to start getting serious about your skin care routine right now.

Use this guide to learn more about caring for your skin as you get older so you look your best for years to come.

Stop Washing So Much
It might sound crazy when somebody tells you that you’re washing your skin too much, but when it comes to your face, that could very well be the case. Some people over wash with the best of intentions, but it can do a lot more harm than good.

When you wash your face regularly, you strip the natural oils that your body makes to keep your skin supple, radiant and healthy looking. That doesn’t mean that you should wash your face at all.

If you have a normal skin type, meaning not too dry or oily, you should likely only be washing your face once per day and after you sweat during exercise. For most people, washing before bed is the best bet.

If you feel you need to give your face a wash in the morning, try doing it with plain water instead. You’ll still have that fresh feeling, but you won’t strip the oils you need from your skin.

Moisturizer is Your Best Friend

A lot of people who are getting older look to a skin care routine that involves lots of complicated creams and expensive products. For many people, simply following a routine of using moisturizer can help a great deal.

Using moisturizer or a neck skin tightening creme is something you should do in the morning and again in the evening before bed. During the day, a moisturizer with SPF protection can help reduce your risk of sun damage.

In the evening, add specific types of moisturizer like neck skin tightening cream to target trouble areas. Simply doing these basic things can take years off the apparent age of your skin.

Ian Veneracion takes on new role an Ace For Conzace

The multi-talented actor recently signed up as the brand ambassador of Conzace

United Laboratories, Inc. (UNILAB) officially welcomes multifaceted celebrity Ian Veneracion as the newest addition to their roster of brand ambassadors. Veneracion, who currently stars as the male lead in ABS-CBN’s primetime show ‘A Love to Last,’ has been chosen to advocate for Conzace, the number one prescribed brand for multivitamin plus minerals by general practitioners and dermatologists in the country.

“It is an honor and privilege to be part of the UNILAB family for its multivitamin brand, Conzace,” proclaims Veneracion while adding, “I am grateful for this opportunity, and I strongly believe that the product can be beneficial to millions of Filipinos as it has been beneficial to me.”

According to Conzace assistant product manager Mike Jimenez, the addition of Veneracion is a perfect match for the brand. “Ian is the epitome of superior immunity and good looks,” he says.

Jimenez elaborates on the actor and the product’s connection. “Conzace’s clinically-proven ZACE formulation, an acronym for Zinc, Vitamins A, C, and E, makes it the number one multivitamin and minerals product prescribed by General Practitioners and Dermatologists. The same can be said about our brand ambassador, Ian, whose credibility allows him to ace his craft with one successful teleserye and movie after another.”

People born in the late ‘70s would remember Veneracion as the cute and charming Jeffrey Laperal, the son of Joey de Leon in the 1982 sitcom ‘Joey and Son.’ From then on, he went to appear in more television projects while simultaneously making films that range from comedy to drama to action. Among his most recent work is the internationally acclaimed psychological thriller, ‘Bliss,’ and a Filipino independent supernatural horror film, ‘Ilawod.’

Now at 42, Veneracion has again endeared himself to today’s generation as Engineer Antonio “Anton” Noble IV, the dashing, separated with three kids guy who falls in love with another broken soul. And of course before, as Eduardo Buenavista in the 2015 remake of ‘Pangako Sa Yo,’ the role that regained Veneracion’s fame and his career to leading man stature.

And then there’s that totally different side of Veneracion that is separate from showbusiness. Apart from being an actor, he is also a painter, an athlete, a pilot, a chef, and a family man—the last being his favorite role to play.

But to be all that, Veneracion needs a multivitamin and minerals that will help him cope, not just with his busy schedule, but with the different roles that he has to play in life. “I need strong immunity as well as healthy skin and hair, I cannot afford to get sick, and look stressed—I am glad I have Conzace to give me all that and more.”

Compared to other multivitamins, Conzace has the highest levels of ZACE combined. All these elements play different roles in one’s well-being. “This unique formulation in Conzace creates a synergistic effect that is clinically proven to help boost immunity, promote healthy skin and hair, and assist in wound healing as it speeds up skin regeneration,” says Jimenez.

Veneracion, speaking from experience, explains it better: “It’s the little things that we don’t normally notice, like for example, stronger resistance against colds and flu, better and clearer skin, shinier and healthier hair. It will do amazing things; you can do more and be more for yourself, for your family, for your work without being disrupted.

“I believe that if you are healthy inside, it just comes out. It reflects physically—in your hair and in your skin. And in the line of job that I am in, it is quite important that I don’t just don’t look good but really be healthy,” Veneracion concludes.

According to many studies devoted to psychiatric research, here are the top ways to make this happen.

1. Know the value in yourself. Try to avoid dangerous acts of self-criticism and take the time to enjoy the hobbies which bring you happiness. Many people find relaxation in the pursuit of broadening their horizons. Libraries are a great way to learn about new things with no monetary investment whatsoever.

Even low-impact moderate exercise has been shown to have many health benefits, one of the foremost being supporting good mental health.

3. Practice coping skills daily to help deal with stress. No matter how much we do not want it to be true, stress is a normal part of life. Learn how to cultivate the positives in stress and bend it to empower you instead of letting it beat you down.

4. Set aside some time on a daily basis where the mind can be cleared. Whether this consists of meditating or just quietly sitting on the porch and watching the clouds go by, this quiet time enables the mind, and thus, the body, to reset itself and re-energize.

5. Set small realistic goals for yourself. Make sure that the goals are challenging so that you can grow from them but not overwhelming so that you feel drowned by daily activities which must be done.

By following these simple tips, you can revel in life’s small victories and lessen the burden of daily stress which are just the by-products of modern life. Remember to always smile and try to find the humor in any situation, no matter how tough it may seem.

Moonstar88 and Jensen and the Flips make new music at Coke Studio

Different generations often find icons to represent themselves, and Coke Studio has brought the voices from two different generations together. The blending of genres and sounds from the past and present shows music’s constant evolution as well as the possibility of even newer and fresher sounds.

In the early 2000s, Moonstar88 skyrocketed to fame with the release of their single Torete which became an iconic song that dictated the distinct sound of their era.

Jensen and the Flips is one of the hottest artists today, rising to the OPM scene with a funky and sexy sound of their own.

This collaboration, being the only pairing of two bands in Coke Studio, was initially met with some apprehension. “I don’t know if we can even fit all their instruments into the studio!” said Coke Studio host Raymund Marasigan jokingly when asked about the interesting match-up. Even Jensen and the Flips front man, Jensen Gomez, admitted that he was skeptic and nervous about being paired with the veteran band. “Totoo ba? Could this be really happening? Of course, we were so pressured! But then we also knew that we had to put on our game face, and not think about that pressure,” he shared.

The collaboration disproved their apprehensions and surprised the two bands and spectators with an easy and smooth blend. “There was no polarizing at all. Everyone really came up with a good song,” said Herbert Hernandez, lead guitarist of Moonstar88. “Genres can really blend well.”

When asked about their collaboration, Moonstar88 vocalist, Mayshelle Baay likened it to that of a constellation – “There are many stars all shining on their own, but still in the same formation in the sky,” she added. The analogy was only fitting for these artists who have proven themselves stars of the OPM scene.

Watch these icons of the past and the present come together to bring the music of the future at Coke Studio. Catch it on August 12, Saturday at 7 p.m. on TV5 or on

Coca-cola Launches Coke Studio

Coca Cola launched Coke last Night, July 29, 2017 at SMX Mall of Asia studio to help the OPM and its industry to achieve and have their kind of experience needed by the New Generation singing Millenials who are going to be benefited and most likely new bands to have their new fresh touch of the real thing with regards to the technologies in sounds and digital media. The sounds of Pinoy music will get a refreshing taste as Coke Studio opens in the country, bringing a fresh experience for the local music industry.

The first of its kind in the country, Coke Studio is a music TV show that encourages collaborations among Filipino artists – bringing together different musical genres, the young and seasoned artists, and the mainstream with the indie. Coke Studio is a celebration of the rich diversity in OPM and the central unifying role of music among Filipinos.

“Coke has always been about encouraging personal expression among the younger generation of teens, and what better way to unite them but through a universal language, which is music. This is what Coke Studio is all about. We are making music our tool of choice to connect with teens,” said Stephan Czypionka, Coca-Cola Philippines Vice President for Marketing.

Coke Studio also serves as a stage that will showcase and highlight the wonderfully surprising new music that comes out from the collaborations between OPM legends and upcoming artists: Noel Cabangon, Curtismith, Moonstar88, Jensen and the Flips, Sandwich, BP Valenzuela, Gabby Alipe and John Dinopol of Urbandub, The Ransom Collective, Abra, Gracenote, singer-composer Ebe Dancel, Autotelic, Franco, and singer-songwriter Reese Lansangan.

Coke Studio is hosted by OPM powerhouse Raymund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala, both from Eraserheads – one of the country’s most iconic rock bands. More than just a TV show, Coke Studio brings the viewer to the real experience – giving a first-hand, front seat view of the collaboration and how each artist bares their soul in the performance.

“As soon as they started playing their instruments, they just forgot about everything else,” said Marasigan on the experience inside the Coke Studio. “And a great artist will really come out with something, will produce something! Some artists may have come unprepared, but once they were in there, they just brought it out.”

But the Coke Studio experience does not stop there. An interactive Coke Studio truck will roam around the country to give university bands an opportunity to perform and interact with the artists.
Coke Studio is also joining some of the biggest fiestas and festivals nationwide with the Coke Canreaoke – an interactive installation loaded with OPM hits for anyone who wants to showcase their singing prowess.
Coca-Cola Philippines recognizes the strong influence of music in the lives of Filipinos – a unifying thread that goes beyond language and dialect, political views and boundaries, and even religion.
With Coke Studio, Coca-Cola Philippines brings a new taste to the sound of Pinoy music.
